What Am I Voting For

The 2022 United States General elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. During this midterm election year, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives & 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will be contested.

Voting for the president doesn’t change things. Midterm elections allows alignment of new bills & policies that set-in motion larger honest voices founded from YOU.
The congressional elections in November 2022 are called “midterms.” Midterm elections occur halfway between presidential elections. State and local races happen every year. They also decide which political party; Democratic or Republican hold a majority in each chamber of Congress for the next two years.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
— Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
State and local elections can take place in any year, at various times throughout the year. There can be statewide elections for governor or state legislature. A city may elect its mayor. There may be elections for judges and local officials.

This directly affects everyone. As a citizen you have the right and oblation to elect your representatives and other subnational officeholders. If you want change, BE CHANGE.

“It isn’t about who is the majority in Congress. It’s about, are people educated and enfranchised and resourced enough to participate in the government that purports to be of the people, by the people, for the people? We’re missing the people part—and not because people don’t care, but because we’re not doing our job as a country, as a culture, to make democracy work.”

How Do I Know Who To Vote For

All states are voting
Remember A total of 469 seats in the U.S. Congress (34 Senate seats and all 435 House seats) are up for election on November 8, 2022.
First time voters sometimes become overwhelmed with the influx of advertisements hitting television, social media, newspapers, billboards, and the classic lawn picked name sign. It is a lot of information. And for all intensive purpose they are all just advertisements. Tip– know what you are looking for. Go to your local state’s website, or type in your google search bar your state and candidates for November 8th 2022. Using the latter, Ballotpedia is by far my favorite. It allows you to see the candidates running position, the party they choose to represent, by clicking on their name you can find the candidates bio with links to campaign websites. This is very user/computer friendly. This makes the discovering process more effective and efficient.
